Bios:
Adam Speen:
Adam strives to provide a unique perspective combining classic swing dance technique with a modern ideology. Partnership and playfulness are the focus for Adam on the dance floor, creating a “yes and” environment for his partners and himself. He brings the same positive environment to the classroom where conditioning drills, visual media, and demonstrations by students are commonplace.
Adam loves having the opportunity to travel and teach so many amazing students but you will find him his happiest on the social dance floor.
Nelle Cherry:
Nelle has been a dancer her entire life with professional training in ballet, tap and jazz. She was introduced to swing dancing, particularly balboa, in the spring of 2006, in Philadelphia where the spark of the love of balboa began. Soon after diving into the follower role, she also pursued a clearer understanding of the leader role. Over these years, she's traveled around the world teaching, competing, and most importantly, social dancing. Within the classroom, she shares her passion and experience with her students, emphasizing partnership, musicality, and helping students to find the most full versions of themselves in the dance! Nelle also values co-teaching with a range of partners within both roles. She recently relocated back to Philadelphia, coming home to where that love began. She can be found balancing her life of working in the behavioral health field with the love of dance!
